We looked at a satellite map of our school grounds and we had to find the 8 markers. At each marker we found a letter. Once we got back it spelt out the word ‘treasure’.
For Key Person time we would like your child to tell us their favourite moment of being in EYFS. This could be ‘Forest School’, the recent trip, any specific topics, christmas play etc. We look forward to sharing all of these next week.
Home learning: This is your last Home Learning for EYFS. Here is a list of ten things we would like your child to do over the Summer holidays.
1. Climb a tree.
2. Bake some goodies.
3. Give the people you love a hug.
4. Read seven stories.
5. Go for a nature walk and find five items to collect, e.g. pine cone, shell, stick etc.
6. Jump in muddy puddles.
7. Have an ice cream.
8. Go to the seaside and build a sandcastle.
9. Have a movie night, with popcorn!
10. Build a den.
Thank you for your continued support this year! It has been a fantastic year and we hope you and your child has enjoyed it as much as we have!
Happy Summer everyone!!!
We have had a fantastic trip at Beacon Fell. Firstly, we found lots of treasure in the forest. Once we had walked up to the summit, we exchanged our ‘booty’ for a gingerbread man! After our lunch we then created our ‘pirate dens’. In school we have been designing our dens and were asked the question, ‘How would we survive on a desert island?’ The children then put all their ideas together in groups and created the dens. Thank you to all of our helpers today! We hope you enjoy our photographs!
For Key Person time we would like your child to talk about what they are doing over the Summer holidays. Are you going on holiday? Have you got any days out planned?
Home learning: For your child’s home learning we would like them to write a sentence or sentences about what they are doing over the Summer holidays to share in Key Person time.
We have noticed water bottles in children’s book bags. Please can your child carry their water bottle as some bottles have leaked and reading books are being ruined.
Thank you for your continued support
For your child’s Key Person Time and their Home Learning, we would like them to write down one sentence about something they have done in school that they are really proud of. For example, persisting and never giving up on something, showing that they could go beyond their best, helping other learners etc.
We are all very proud of you all and can not wait to hear what you think!
For your child’s Key Person Time, we would like them to talk about general news – bring in something from home of interest, for example, a swimming certificate, photograph of them learning to ride a bike, holiday photograph etc.
For your child’s home learning, please can you help your child practise telling the time in o’clock and half past? You could look at bedtime, lunch time, tea time. As an extra challenge you could look at quarter past and quarter to.
Thank you for your continued support
For your child’s Key Person Time and their Home Learning, we would like them to write down 2 facts about pirates on the worksheet provided.
We look forward to hearing your facts.
For your child’s Key Person Time, we would like your child to bring in a photograph or a drawing of their Dad or Grandad and say why they are special to them.
For your child’s Home Learning, we would like them to learn what is 1 more and 1 less than any number to 20.
Today we decided to talk about our emotions, that it is ok to have feelings. After the terrible tragedy in Manchester recently, the children have been experiencing a mix of emotions. We decided to create our first ‘Floor Book’ about our emotions. Here are some of the videos and photos for our book.
As part of our ‘Amazing world’ topic, we have been looking at the life cycle of a butterfly. Today we let our butterflies go, ready to lay eggs to start the cycle again.
